92 of 93 people found the following review helpful Perfect!, By This review is from: Vittles Vault 60-Pound Stackable (Misc.) I purchase flour in 25 or 50lb bags to save money. Unfortunately I have had to leave it in the bag. I tried other plastic containers but they were all difficult to open, hard to get to, and never sealed tight. 0 This container is GREAT! The seal is air tight, very easy to open, and does not make a mess when I open it up. The plastic is thick so the container does not bend or twist. Finally, its shape is perfect for me. I can stack three on top of each other (bread flour, whole wheat, and rye) and still open each one up. Try that with other large containers! 103 of 107 people found the following review helpful Love it - but it DOES NOT hold even 30lbs of food, By avidreader123 (Mesa, AZ United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Vittles Vault 40-Pound Stackable (Misc.) We really like this container. Its low to the ground (so the kids can feed the dog unassisted), its easy to fill and seals up nicely. What I DO NOT like is that even though it says it will hold 40+ lbs of dog food - it doesn't even completely hold the 30lb bags of Nutro we buy for our dog. I would have gladly purchased the 60+lb. container (as its actually a few bucks less $ ) but wanted to go with a smaller size simply for convenience. Had I known it wouldn't hold a whole dog food bag - I would have been OK with the extra size of the larger one. SO be warned - if you want your container to hold an entire 30lb bag of dog food - buy the bigger one. 0 40 of 41 people found the following review helpful It works but is slightly misleading, By Tim (Central Coast California) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Vittles Vault 40-Pound Stackable (Misc.) First, I am happy I purchased this unit for holding my dogs food, but I will be pointing out what I didn't like. I wish it was a little higher quality build (probably just thinker plastic would do). You notice this sometimes when you are putting on the lid and it cross-threads a lot giving you that cheap feeling. 0 The biggest issue is that it is 40-pound non-stackable or around 30-pound stackable. To fit 40-pounds in it you would have to lay it on its back so the lid is on the top. It will hold it, but it is no longer stackable. In the stackable position (with the lid in the front) I was able to get close to 30 pounds of a 35lbs bag in it without having the dog food spilling out the front whenever the lid is opened. As I am not planning on stacking it or needing to put 40 pounds in it, these problems don't both me that much, but to someone expecting such a claim might be disappointed. |
